Rezumat
Spirometria este cea mai folosită explorare funcţională respiratorie, o investigație nedureroasă, ieftină și care durează relativ puțin. Poate fi efectuată începând de la vârsta de 6 ani. Este un test ce măsoară volumul de aer pe care un individ îl poate inspira sau expira într-o unitate de timp.
Spirometria este prima etapă în explorările funcționale respiratorii în măsurarea volumelor mobilizabile. Singură, ea nu poate determina volumele pulmonare nemobilizabile, nu poate dovedi concret restricția și nu pune diagnosticul final, ajută doar la conturarea acestuia. Este foarte utilă în diagnosticul și supravegherea evoluției unor afecțiuni respiratorii cronice.

Abstract
Spirometry is the most widely used functional respiratory scan, a painless, inexpensive, and relatively short-lasting investigation. It can be done from the age of 6 years. It is a test that measures the volume of air that an individual can inhale or exhale in a unit of time.
Spirometry is the first step in functional respiratory exploration in measuring mobilizable volumes. Alone, it cannot determine the immobilized lung volumes, cannot prove the restriction concretely and does not make the final diagnosis, which helps to shape it. It is very useful in diagnosing and monitoring the progression of some chronic respiratory diseases.
