Rezumat
René-Nicolas Dufriche Desgenettes a fost unul dintre cele mai renumite și mai respectate nume ale medicinei militare franceze în timpul Perioadei Napoleoniene. Totodată, pentru o perioadă de timp destul de îndelungată, eminentul medic francez a îndeplinit și funcția de medic-șef al Marii Armate (Grande Armée), denumirea sub care a rămas cunoscută în istorie Armata Franceză condusă de către Împăratul Napoleon I al Franței. Astfel, în acest material ne-am propus să prezentăm o biografie foarte succintă a celui mai reprezentativ exponent al medicinei de război franceze din prima jumătate a secolului XIX.

Abstract
René-Nicolas Dufriche Desgenettes was one of the most renowned and respected names in French military medicine during the Napoleonic Era. Moreover, for a considerable period, the eminent French physician also served as the Chief Medical Officer of the Grande Armée, the name by which the French Army led by Emperor Napoleon I of France is known in history. In this document, we aim to present a very brief biography of the most representative figure of French war medicine from the first half of the 19th century.
