Cutaneous manifestations of COVID-19: potential indicators in unveiling an otherwise paucisymptomatic or asymptomatic infection

At the present moment, the COVID-19 pandemic is the main focus of health professionals all over the world. Understanding the ways in which the virus causes substantial multisystem damage and early recognizing of signs and symptoms of infection deserve priority. In addition to the typical clinical findings of infection: fever, dry cough and dyspnea, cutaneous lesions have also been described. Considering that the skin is easily available for examination, cutaneous manifestations of the coronavirus disease may represent an indicator for early identification of paucisymptomatic or asymptomatic patients.
