Rezumat
Tiroidita Hashimoto este o afecțiune autoimună în care are loc producerea de anticorpi împotriva glandei tiroide, respectiv anticorpi anti tiroperoxidază și/sau anticorpi anti-tiroglobulină (ATg). Acești anticorpi cauzează inflamație în glanda tiroidă iar în timp inflamația poate cauza gușă si/sau hipotiroidism. Procesul de inflamație evoluează insidios la majoritatea pacienților. Această afecțiune este cea mai frecventă cauză a hipotiroidismului. TH poate apărea la orice vârstă, fiind mai frecventă la sexul feminin. Tabloul clinic include inițial semne și simptome subtile precum oboseală, constipație, tegumente uscate, creștere în greutate, care pot progresa în decurs de luni, ani. Prezentarea clinică a pacienților poate să includă hipotiroidism subclinic, hipotiroidism frust, mai rar hashitoxicoză. Diagnosticul se realizează pe baza evaluării funcției tiroidiene și a anticorpilor antitiroidieni. Tratamentul hipotiroidismului cauzat de TH este cu hormoni tiroidieni.

Importanța diagnosticului precoce al neoplaziilor în cadrul medicinii de familie
Abstract
Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is an autoimmune disorder characterized by antibodies directed against the thyroid gland, namely anti-thyroperoxidase antibodies and/or anti-thyroglobulin antibodies. These antibodies trigger inflammation in the thyroid gland, and over time, this inflammation can lead to goitre and/or hypothyroidism. The inflammatory process progresses insidiously in most patients. This condition is the most common cause of hypothyroidism. HT can occur at any age and is more common in women. The clinical picture initially includes subtle signs and symptoms such as fatigue, constipation, dry skin, and weight gain, which can progress over months or years. The clinical presentation of patients may include subclinical hypothyroidism, frost hypothyroidism, and, more rarely, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. The diagnosis is based on thyroid function testing and antithyroid antibody evaluation. The treatment of hypothyroidism caused by TH is with thyroid hormones.
